Welcome to All Things Granola! I'm Sarah and I began this blog as a way to share information and document my journey to a less toxic, cleaner, healthier, more natural way of living. I am not a medical doctor, nutritionist, fitness trainer, or holistic practitioner. I am just one woman interested in living a greener, cleaner life! This blog is a way to summarize all the information I've read and things, products, methods I've tried. Maybe that will be helpful to you too - that's the goal anyhow!
After a health scare in 2008 I began to look at everything around me more closely. What was I putting on my body? What was I putting in my body? What was I washing down the drain? What was in the products we used to clean our home or store our food? How were we cooking our food? Those are just some of the questions I began asking myself and thus my journey had begun. Since that time I've done a lot of research and exploration to remove toxins from my family's lives. Am I 100% granola? Well, that just doesn't seem to be a one size fits all term in my eyes. What I am is someone who prefers eco-friendly, toxin-free products. I support locally grown organic foods that help us maintain a whole food diet. I strive to lead an active lifestyle supported by the best possible forms of nutrition. I enjoy aromatherapy and using essential oils as an informed method of self-care but without disregarding the value of modern medicine. I am also a realist. I know resources are limited and try to allocate my pocket book to speak the way I feel it is most important. I'm a christian, wife, and mother. I desire to share information with anyone who will listen!
